Turn Off The Lights

Verse:
C                                         F                               Dm
Turn off the lights, give me a few simple moments without sight
Let me feel, just hold me close and let me know your real
Breathe in and out, taste the smell of springtime on your tongue, don't doubt
Watch as I go, just don't let me slip too far away

Chorus:
C                 G           Dm                             F
Turn off the lights, sometimes the world just gets too bright
                  C                    G
I'm falling deeper with no end in sight
                               F                                  Dm
Please be there to wake me, just turn off the lights
                                                 F
Hold me close and love me for who I am,
                  G
What I've lost is what I've found
             F                                                 Dm
What I hear is more than sound when I'm in the dark

Verse:
Every breath is like paint, making a beautiful picture on my skin
Let me close my eyes, I can see the sunlight in your hair from behind these lids
Listen to the fan, as it turns round and round in its lonely path
Write me a song, just don't let it carry you away

Chorus

Verse:
If love is all you need, then worry not my friend for that is all I can give to you
These empty hands, sometimes they hold the whole world in a fingertip
I've listened to your heartbeat, and it plays something sweeter than the robin's song
But I still sleep, sometimes to forget these very things

Chorus, then end after Verse one

Side note: Sorry for taking such a long break from everything, clearly the break didn't pertain to writing...or reading for that matter, but I'm lazy so what do you expect? Yeah. *looks at ground and draws unidentified objects (not flying luckily) in the sand/dirt/cement*  If no one knows how to play guitar/paino/anything with chords, then the whole 'adding chords' thing was unnecessary, but oh well, you should learn...I think it's even supposed to help your brain by hearing music.

Chords, for the 3rd line in every verse you switch G in for Dm, and for the last line Cadd9 for C. The last line has no Dm, but goes straight into the chorus.
