Your Cold Accomplice

Broken passion
empty hands
time to cash in
stop the demands
gasp for air
as its sucked away
don't fight fair
it ends today
no longer whole
bit by bit
heart and soul
given for it
run inside
lock the door
try to hide
in your sores
embrace the pain
like a faithful friend
kiss the stains
and start to bend
fingers around
your cold accomplice
tears compound
the shame from all this
darkness weighing
down your mind
tears straying
hands you bind
to the gun
inside your mouth
free to run
forever south
till you hear
the trigger pull
now its near
feel the lull
before it hits
peaceful now
a bloodied hand sits
shattered vows
pool blood red
in the dreams
beside your head
swiftly fall
onto the ground
in it all
you'll hear no sound
leave behind
the tears
and find
no fears
will hold you
slip away
in blackened hues
no more to stray

Lifeless Smiling Color

Verse
Prick me cause I can't feel pain
everyday just ends the same
and there's nothing I can do
even if there was would I
jinx this happy streak by trying
to lose myself again

I checked the mood ring, it works fine
then why does it still say that I'm
not myself
there are no tears, there is no heartache
just a lifeless smiling color in my eyes
laughing wryly, crying dryly, its all the same

Chorus
Cause I don't feel anymore
it's just a blur around me now
everything's gone grey
can't tell night from day
no it's not the same
there was black and white before
there was wrong and right
and I adored it so, it's not the same

Verse
World is spinning like a spider
weaving her new web to catch the prey
I walk by safely every time
I miss the thrill of getting tangled up inside
Sometimes I like to play with matches
running fingertips across the flame

Nothing is more real than passion
even angels fall to go insane
my hearts in apathetic hands
life and death and blindly side by side
I stare at ceilings from the floor
life faces in a crowd you get ignored

Turn Off The Lights

Verse:
C                                         F                               Dm
Turn off the lights, give me a few simple moments without sight
Let me feel, just hold me close and let me know your real
Breathe in and out, taste the smell of springtime on your tongue, don't doubt
Watch as I go, just don't let me slip too far away

Chorus:
C                 G           Dm                             F
Turn off the lights, sometimes the world just gets too bright
                  C                    G
I'm falling deeper with no end in sight
                               F                                  Dm
Please be there to wake me, just turn off the lights
                                                 F
Hold me close and love me for who I am,
                  G
What I've lost is what I've found
             F                                                 Dm
What I hear is more than sound when I'm in the dark

Verse:
Every breath is like paint, making a beautiful picture on my skin
Let me close my eyes, I can see the sunlight in your hair from behind these lids
Listen to the fan, as it turns round and round in its lonely path
Write me a song, just don't let it carry you away

Chorus

Verse:
If love is all you need, then worry not my friend for that is all I can give to you
These empty hands, sometimes they hold the whole world in a fingertip
I've listened to your heartbeat, and it plays something sweeter than the robin's song
But I still sleep, sometimes to forget these very things

Chorus, then end after Verse one

Side note: Sorry for taking such a long break from everything, clearly the break didn't pertain to writing...or reading for that matter, but I'm lazy so what do you expect? Yeah. *looks at ground and draws unidentified objects (not flying luckily) in the sand/dirt/cement*  If no one knows how to play guitar/paino/anything with chords, then the whole 'adding chords' thing was unnecessary, but oh well, you should learn...I think it's even supposed to help your brain by hearing music.

Chords, for the 3rd line in every verse you switch G in for Dm, and for the last line Cadd9 for C. The last line has no Dm, but goes straight into the chorus.

Forget (Still working on)

This is a song, but I'm not quite satisfied with it yet...What I shall change I have no idea, but it needs some more verses or something. Hmmmmm. I don't know.

V1:
Rain splatters down on the window shield
It's been twenty hours since I pulled out of your driveway
My fingers tap on the steering wheel
I'm trying to forget all the things I feel
Forget the good, forget the bad, forget the ugly, the joy and sadness
Forget the friends, forget the foes, forget the highs and forget the lows

C:
The Raindrops wash you from my heart
The Raindrops wash my tears drop by drop
As the miles fly by I leave this all behind
But I'll miss you all, till I forget

V2:
Sunlight shines through the rainy clouds
It shines so bright that I swear it glows just for me
Things bittersweet start to smell like a rose planted in the deepest part of my heart
'Forget' I say to the memories of yesterday and the day before
Let the rain wash you away, let the sun melt your fears

?
Forget that I loved you, and the smell of green grass freshly born.
I'll forget the tidal waves that pull me away from you
Forget that you made me laugh, made me cry, made me die inside

Silence

Down the dark ally the footsteps pressed
their victim's face fate turned to caress
the moon shining brightly, a life soon to end
the wounds gained tonight never to mend
The night would not pause to hear their last breath
even if it was the sweet sound of death
nothing would stop, nothing would wait
no one hesitant, no one late
Even as the strange figure would appear
no one but the soulless would be there to hear
all those strange people, strange places, strange things
all disappearing as if they had wings
First there was pain, then nothing at all
for all they know they could be at a ball
as the poison spread faster, getting in deep
you almost wish the monster would pull up a seat
Gloat in your handiwork darkhearted friend
take their small spirit and to your will bend
the laughter, the sorrow, the memories gone
your puppet survives till the sweet moan of dawn
ends your bleak work and frees the lone slave
to silently place them down in the damp grave
Restless you wander the great black abyss
more than you thought, the sunlight you miss
collect the tears shed by your victims of hate
bet your vast riches on a blunder of fate

Troubled Soul

A troubled soul I pass by night
in that troubled soul I see no light
the faintest flicker of their once bright flame
stomped into ashes, but refusing to wane
hoping once again to rise
trying not to believe its own lies
mind has taken over heart
asking darkness never to part
shedding tears with no release
their twisted game now hard to please
eyes open wide and yet still sealed
soul searching for a truth to reveal
fingers rapidly tapping the table
echoing inside a mind so unstable
burning, tearing its way outside
naively reaching for a place to hide
this quiet soul always yelling my name
as I pass by without a care to blame
all hope extinguished, all faith null
and I prepare once again for my nightly duel

- Its one of the early ones, but I still like it : )

Seen by a Lonely Wall

Echoing off the lonely wall
a broken voice whimpers small
slowly louder, its decibels climb
screaming, sobbing, passing time
chest rising then falling once more
angry tears splash on the floor
sweater clutched tight, hiding the pain
a tormented mind you cannot feign
lone wall and lone figure, both live in grey
in solitary silence each pass their day
so much injustice, with bitter consent
all of your smiles are out just on rent
but the world still turns with a unique will
not caring who it praises or kills
talking at night to no one but you
questions are plentiful, answers are few
no one responds when you shout at the sky
not even after your last broken sigh
nothing matters in this state
living, dying, love and hate
all are equal in hardened eyes
that see through the shattered heart inside
hating the tears but knowing their real
away from the wall the grey figure steals
cheeks flushed and wet
jaw will be set
facing the world, not the wall
is the hardest of all
